The largest, last known undeveloped plot of land designated for building on in Torrevieja is finally moving ahead.

Plans for La Hoya Torrevieja have been around for some time, but as of this last month (September 2023) progress is being made on developing the land in readiness to become one of the largest developments in the Torrevieja Region.

Situated adjacent to the CV 905, between El Chaparral, Torrevieja to the West, Jardin Del Mar, Torrevieja and Aguas Nuevas to the East and Altos Del Limonar and Paraje Natural to the South.

This development in La Hoya Torrevieja was initially set for a maximum of 7,490 properties

These New Build properties in La Hoya would be a mixture of New Build semi detached villas on a minimum of a 400metre square plot, New Build detached Villas also on a minimum of a 400metre square plot and New Build Upper and lower bungalows, as well as New Build Apartments in La Hoya, Torrevieja.

The plots are of mixed use; some will be for commercial purposes in La Hoya Torrevieja (designated TC on the plan we´ve done). Those designated R on the plan will be for residencial use.

The residencial plots in La Hoya Torrevieja will be a mixture of new build villas, bungalows and apartments. The original plan over 20 years ago was for over 7.000 properties.

This may now be reduced- 20 years ago the average apartment size was in the region of 60m2 for a 2 bedroom apartment. New build apartments now for example are bigger.

New roads and infrastructure needs to be implemented before building will take place. There will also be green areas and the existing La Hoya Pequiña needs to be restored and the existing nature reserve and wildlife need to be protected and habitat respected.
