Balsicas- beautifully Spanish in the Costa Calida
1 Oct 2015

Balsicas is a large village in the Costa Calida area of Murcia. With several golf courses and complexes within a small distance, the village has a lot to offer. Being typically Spanish, with plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes, as well as a church, several squares and parks, and not to mention the fantastic Ros Castle, the town is worthy of a visit. Residents can also benefit from the petrol station, pharmacy, doctors, bazaars and supermarkets as well as the weekly market on a Thursday.

As for location and transport links, the town is situated just 15 minutes from the fabulous beaches of the Mar Menor, only 10 minutes from San Javier (Murcia) airport and is also unusual in the fact it has its own train station, with links to Cartagena (plus others) in the South, or Murcia, Alicante, Elche, Madrid & Barcelona to the North (and beyond!)

The town is surrounded with groves of oranges and lemons, other seasonal fruit and vegetables and some fabulous golf courses, combined with the glorious sunshine, views of the Mar Menor on one side and mountains on the other- what more could you want?
