The 100,000 question - part one

The 100,000 question - part one
28 Feb 2018

A typical enquiry we get is for clients that have a budget of 100.000€, want to be close to amenities, relatively close to the sea & airport and close to some expats.

These sort of requirements are not unusual, and can be fairly typical.
Being where we are, we average 320 days of sunshine per year, and the average sea temperatures are around 20 degrees Celsius.
With regards properties, most of our properties are within 40 minutes of two airports (Alicante & Mucia San Javier), and within 15 minutes drive of the Mediterranean. Currently there is a Bus service from Alicante airport to Torrevieja every hour during the summer.

From there its a matter of choice: property type and location.

One option are the suburbs/ areas around Torrevieja. Most areas have "pockets" of expatriates, and / or more "residential" living, as opposed to holiday lets- and our team can advise which you properties in each area will suit the individual clients requirements.

Places like La Siesta, El Chaparral, San Luis, El Limonar & Parque Natural are multinational, and offer a great variety.

As the areas are established, things such as Medical Centres, Dentists, Churches, Vets, Banks, Bakeries, Supermarkets, many different types of restaurants (Spanish, Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Italian, Scandinavian, Belgian, English, etc.) as well as a real community feel with many different nationalities (British, Swedish, Norwegian, Spanish, Russian, French, etc.) and things such as bus routes, with buses every 20 minutes or so into Torrevieja (less than 10 minutes by transport) with it´s beaches, marinas, shopping and promenades. If you´re on the padron the buses are free if you apply for a bus pass.

You can learn a new pastime such as petanc or bowls, and the areas are flanked by 2 salt lakes, one of which is a very large nature reserve.

From here you have many areas to walk or cycle, with the beaches accessible within 40 minutes.

These areas, in fact, have been classed by the World Health Organisation as one of the healthiest places to live in the world.
At the budget suggested, there is a lot of choice. From single storey bungalows with or without communal pool (as well as upper and lower bungalows), townhouses, as well as apartments. 3 bedrooms + should be available within budget- our suggestion is that you come out, let us show you the areas and some properties- we maybe able to find you your ideal place in the sun.
